Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Proactive Security - Platform to build paved paths for privileged access, secrets management, and identity across DoorDash, Wolt and Deliveroo. You will develop self-service tooling, SDKs, Terraform modules and integrate with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Software, Infrastructure or Security Platform Engineer in an internet-scale org.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong software engineering skills in Go (or Kotlin, Java, Python) building production services and developer tooling.
• Hands-on experience building or operating access management and secret storage systems (PAM, secrets management or key management). Teleport or Vault a plus.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems (replication, consistency, distributed consensus like Raft/Paxos).
• Working knowledge of identity/auth standards (OIDC, SAML, mTLS, SPIFFE, AWS/GCP IAM Roles).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform or infrastructure as code, and AWS and/or GCP IAM.
• Track record of building internal platforms/paved paths with strong developer experience.
• Experience running highly available, no-downtime services with mature on-call practices.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and ability to drive adoption across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate paved paths for privileged access, secrets management and identity on top of your platforms.
• Build self-service tooling, SDKs, Terraform modules and integrations enabling just-in-time access and dynamic secrets.
• Design and operate highly available distributed systems underpinning tier-0 services.
• Drive migrations off long-lived credentials and standing access, reducing exposure at the platform layer.
• Partner with Core Infrastructure, Compute, Data and product teams to integrate paths into Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS/GCP environments for DoorDash, Wolt and Deliveroo.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation for tier-0 security services and improve operational excellence.
• Help enable secure adoption of AI tooling and agentic workflows through access control and secrets brokering.
