Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is seeking a Professional Liability Underwriter to join the Miscellaneous and Construction PI Underwriting team. You will shape and grow a profitable portfolio by underwriting, negotiating terms, and building trusted broker relationships.

The role emphasizes market engagement, collaboration with claims, actuarial and underwriting colleagues, and representing Swiss Re at broker meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Liability underwriting experience.
• Expertise in Miscellaneous Professional Liability and/or Construction Professional Liability.
• Established broker network within the professional liability marketplace.
• Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities for complex risk exposures.
• Excellent communication to articulate underwriting positions with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Miscellaneous and Construction PI risks for profitability.
• Develop and nurture relationships with retail and wholesale broker partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with underwriting strategy.
• Analyze risk exposures, pricing adequacy, coverage structures, terms.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and clients while maintaining risk discipline.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and underwriting teams to monitor portfolio.
• Monitor market trends and developments in professional liability.
• Represent Swiss Re in broker meetings and client engagements.
