Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is seeking an experienced Professional Liability Underwriter to join the Miscellaneous and Construction PI Underwriting team. You will shape and grow a high‑performing portfolio, engage brokers, and drive profitable growth through expert risk assessment and deal negotiation.

In this hybrid role, you will analyze complex risks, negotiate terms, and collaborate with claims and actuarial teams to ensure portfolio quality.

Qualifications

5+ years of Professional Liability underwriting experience.
Established broker network within the professional liability space.
Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
Proven ability to develop and grow profitable broker relationships.
Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Miscellaneous and Construction Professional Liability risks with a focus on profitability and portfolio quality.
Develop and nurture relationships with retail and wholesale broker partners to generate quality submissions.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with Swiss Re's underwriting strategy.
Analyze risk exposures, pricing adequacy, coverage structures, and policy terms for underwriting decisions.
Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients while maintaining underwriting discipline.
Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and underwriting teams to monitor portfolio performance.
Monitor market trends and evolving professional liability developments.
Represent Swiss Re in broker meetings, industry events, and client engagements.
