Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions seeks an experienced Professional Liability Underwriter for the Miscellaneous and Construction PI team. You will shape and grow a high-performing portfolio by underwriting complex risks and building trusted broker relationships in a fast-paced market.

You will engage with retail and wholesale brokers, analyze exposures and pricing, and negotiate terms while collaborating with claims and actuarial staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Liability underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in Miscellaneous Pro Liability and/or Construction Professional Liability.
• Established broker network within the professional liability marketplace.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with ability to assess complex risk and pricing.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate underwriting positions.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Miscellaneous and Construction Professional Liability risks with profitability focus.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with retail and wholesale broker partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with underwriting strategy.
• Analyze risk exposures, pricing adequacy, and policy terms to support decisions.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and clients while maintaining risk discipline.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and underwriting teams to monitor portfolio performance.
• Monitor market trends and emerging developments in professional liability.
• Represent Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in broker meetings and client engagements.
