Job summary

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is seeking a Professional Liability Underwriter to join the Miscellaneous and Construction PI Underwriting team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will analyze risks, negotiate terms, and build trusted broker relationships to drive profitable growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.

The role offers a hybrid work model with three days in the office and opportunities to influence portfolio performance across diverse risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Liability underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in underwriting Miscellaneous and/or Construction Professional Liability risks.
• Established broker network within the professional liability insurance marketplace.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Miscellaneous and Construction PI risks with a focus on profitability and portfolio quality
• Develop and nurture strong, lasting relationships with retail and wholesale broker partners to generate submissions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with underwriting strategy and appetite
• Analyze risk exposures, pricing adequacy, coverage structures, and policy terms for sound decisions
• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients while maintaining underwriting discipline
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and underwriting colleagues to monitor portfolio performance
• Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving professional liability landscape
• Represent Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in broker meetings, industry events, and client engagements
