Job summary

First Citizens Bank in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a mortgage loan operations teammate to support the mortgage lending team. You will gather client information, coordinate with underwriting, mortgage operations and the middle office, and ensure a smooth transaction experience.

This hybrid role requires proactive communication, detail-oriented work, and the ability to manage timelines. Some evenings/weekends may be needed to keep clients updated and move loans toward closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year(s) experience in mortgage loan lending operations OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 5 years' experience in mortgage loan lending operations.
• Experience with the Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Application Submission - Partners with mortgage bankers in submitting clear, complete, and timely applications to the mortgage operations team for initial disclosures and processing.
• Loan Closing - Clear loan conditions and expedite closing, coordinating with title companies and clients to ensure a smooth closing.
• Client Communication - Proactively update clients on loan status, coordinating with team members to avoid duplication of effort.
• Pipeline Management and Leadership - Manage a mortgage banker's pipeline, collaborate with underwriting and operations, and assist with client calls and real estate financing options.
