Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a mortgage operations associate in a hybrid role based in the Greensboro area. You will partner with a mortgage banker to gather information from clients, prepare applications for underwriting, and guide documents through the closing process while ensuring a smooth client experience.

You will communicate with clients, coordinate with internal teams, and manage a mortgage banker’s pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of mortgage loan lending operations experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of mortgage loan lending operations experience.
• Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
• Strong client communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Submit clear, complete mortgage applications with underwriting in mind.
• Clear conditions and expedite closings; coordinate with title companies and wiring needs.
• Proactive client communication on loan status and required items; document sharing via DocuSign.
• Manage a mortgage banker’s pipeline and serve as backup during absences; provide client financing options.
