Job summary

Ice Miller LLP seeks a mid to senior-level associate to join our private equity practice group in New York or Philadelphia. Ideal candidates will have five to eight years of experience.

Successful candidates will work with middle-market private equity funds, independent sponsors, and family offices on leveraged buyouts and with family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in connection with sell-side M&A transactions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• At least five (5) years of experience practicing law in a law firm and/or in-house environment.
• Active law license in New York or Pennsylvania.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and business judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key team member and hands-on responsible attorney on M&A transactions from start to finish.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across practice groups and offices.
• Gain experience at an AM Law 200 firm while enjoying a collegial culture.
