Oliver James Group, in partnership with a leading global asset manager, is seeking a Principal to join the Private Credit fund operations team in Manhattan. You will own the operational and financial oversight of a growing $45B platform and drive the launch of a multi-jurisdictional open-ended vehicle, running it day to day.

This senior role requires 10+ years in private credit, direct lending or distressed credit, with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership and implementing

Competenze

• 10+ years in private credit fund operations or similar role.
• Degree in accounting, finance or business; CPA or advanced degree a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of direct lending and distressed credit; open-ended fund structures.
• Experience launching or running complex private credit products with multiple vehicles.
• Track record leading across teams and embedding scalable processes.
• Experience using technology, automation or AI to improve fund operations.

Mansioni

• Lead the build and ongoing management of a new open-ended private credit fund, including vehicle setup, administrator onboarding, governance and controls.
• Manage liquidity and cash flow across the fund range, forecasting, subscriptions and redemptions, capital calls and distributions, and credit facility monitoring.
• Build and maintain fund models and dashboards, including performance metrics, fee calculations, waterfalls and investor allocations.
• Monitor compliance with fund documents, side letters, investment guidelines, lender covenants and regulatory obligations with Legal, Tax and Compliance.
• Prepare and review investor and management reporting, due diligence responses and regulatory filings.
• Improve the operating environment by tightening procedures, reconciliations and data controls, using automation and AI to reduce manual work.
• Partner with Portfolio, Product, Accounting, Investor Relations and external advisers, raising risks and decisions promptly.
