Job summary

BDO’s Private Client Services seeks a Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and consulting for high-net-worth clients, including individuals, families, and foundations.

Role requires 5+ years in accounting/finance, CPA/EA/Attorney credentials, and strong communication and leadership to supervise staff and manage engagements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics.
Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
Five+ years experience in accounting/finance/law required.
CPA/EA/Attorney or equivalent credential required.
Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with tax software/tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage tax engagements and client relationships; identify tax planning opportunities.
Gather information from clients and advisors for tax returns.
Review tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
Direct communications with government agencies on complex matters.
Mentor staff and supervise associates; contribute to billing and training.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics

Master’s degree in Accountancy/Taxation

Five+ years experience in accounting/finance/law
