Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager, Private Client Services, to manage tax and consulting engagements for high net-worth clients. You will collaborate with clients and their advisors to gather information for tax returns and supervise staff on complex tax filings.

The role emphasizes leadership, client relationship building, and ongoing tax research to deliver compliant, strategic planning across individuals, trusts, estates, foundations, and businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, preferred
• Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred
• Five (5) or more years prior experience in accounting, finance, or law, required
• Certified Public Accountant credential, Enrolled Agent credential, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or equivalent, required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software; strong research skills

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and enhances skills to identify client needs and opportunities
• Works with clients and advisors to gather information for tax returns
• Reviews returns across individuals, trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts
• Directs communication with government agencies for complex matters
• Identifies technical issues and develops sound recommendations for PCS leadership
