BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director in Private Client Services to lead complex engagements for high‑net‑worth individuals and families. You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and drive strategic tax planning and compliance across trusts, estates, and related entities.

Requires 10+ years in accounting/finance, CPA/EA/attorney credentials, and strong leadership. Public accounting experience preferred; MS in Taxation or Accountancy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Ten+ years of accounting, finance, or law experience required.
• Expertise in private client services required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA/EA/Attorney or equivalent credential required.

Responsabilités

• Lead tax engagements and mentor junior staff.
• Act as primary client contact for complex issues and resolution.
• Review complex tax returns (individual, trust, estate, partnership).
• Communicate with government agencies on high‑complexity matters.
• Perform advanced tax research and develop recommendations.
• Manage client relationships and expand opportunities.
• Oversee billing, recruiting, and training responsibilities.
• Present complex tax strategies to clients and prospects.
