Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in Private Client Services to lead high-net-worth client engagements, oversee tax planning and compliance, and expand client relationships. The role requires deep technical knowledge, client leadership, and supervision of staff within a boutique PCS practice.

You will manage complex returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S‑Corp, partnerships and foundations, while coordinating with government agencies and advising PCS leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, preferred
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred
• Seven (7) or more years prior experience in accounting, finance, or law, required
• Experience in the private client service area, required
• Prior supervisory experience, required
• Experience working in public accounting, preferred
• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent credential required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities
• Acts as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues
• Reviews complex returns and provides feedback to preparers
• Directs communication with government agencies for highly complex matters
• Performs advanced tax research and develops recommendations
• Expands knowledge through client engagements and current tax developments
• Manages workload to keep engagements on track
• Assists with PCS/firm contributions including billing and training
