Job summary

Deep Blue Recruitment is partnering with an international technology company to appoint an experienced Senior Privacy Counsel to join its legal team. This broad, hands-on role combines privacy advisory work with commercial support and ongoing development of internal data protection processes.

The Senior Privacy Counsel will advise across the business on privacy and data protection, working with product, technology and commercial teams to address privacy early in service development.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years' experience in data protection, privacy or technology law.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and European data protection law with practical application.
• Experience advising technology businesses, ideally with software/AI exposure.
• Comfortable working directly with product, engineering and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise colleagues across the business on privacy and data protection matters with clear, commercially focused guidance.
• Collaborate with product, technology and commercial teams to embed privacy early in service development.
• Support negotiation of commercial agreements involving data processing and international transfers.
• Advise on GDPR and other international data protection obligations across markets.
• Provide guidance on emerging technologies, including AI, from a privacy perspective.
• Review and improve privacy policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
