Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector seeks a Systems Engineer–Level 4 to join our team in Fairfax, VA or Morrisville, NC. The role focuses on driving features for satellite ground systems with MBSE/CAMEO methodologies and agile practices.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced STEM degree with extensive engineering experience and an active TS/SCI clearance. Responsibilities include designing, verifying, and delivering critical space-ground software solutions with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
Active TS/SCI clearance at time of application and start.
2+ years of MBSE experience using Cameo or equivalent.
Experience with space-vehicle, command-and-control, mission management, or software subsystems.

Responsibilities

Drive development and execution of features for the satellite ground systems domain, reading CAMEO/MBSE models.
Translate customer needs into digital artifacts for software implementation.
Support and/or lead verification planning, test requirements, and other key products.
Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
Provide SME in Space-Vehicle C2 system areas and collaborate with teams.
