Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (T4) to join the Marine Systems team developing launcher hardware for Navy platforms.

You will lead requirements development, system integration, and verification activities across DOORS and MBSE models in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years (or advanced degrees with fewer years), strong reading of technical drawings, and a US government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8 years relevant experience; or Master’s with 6 years; or PhD with 4 years.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• First-hand experience with requirements and interface management.
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents such as Interface Control Documents, System/Subsystem Specifications, VCRM.
• US citizen and ability to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Support conversion of customer requirements into total system solutions within time and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and interface definitions.
• Create/update System and sub-system specifications in DOORS and maintain verification traceability.
• Update system drawings and documents like Interface Control Documents and Arrangement Drawings.
• Coordinate internal and external reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR, etc.).
• Support MBSE products such as System behavioral models and Use Case realizations.
