Job summary
RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Hardware Tech Lead for the SE&TC Surface Radars & Sensors Center in the US. The role focuses on radar capability development, Linux-based systems, and hands-on hardware/software integration in test labs.
Candidates should have a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and be willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux.
- Experience configuring hardware setups, installing software, troubleshooting hardware/software/electronics and interfacing with network equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a lab environment.
- Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software on Linux-based systems.
- Mentor junior engineers in troubleshooting and hardware integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware and OS.
- Collaborate across teams to address technical challenges including HWIL deliveries and material coordination.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and reports per program requirements.
