Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/ Sr. Principal Structural Engineer for the Sentinel program, located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, Utah.

The role focuses on structural analysis of facilities and subsystems supporting Minuteman III upgrades, with a robust path for relocation assistance. Responsibilities include dynamics and loads analysis, materials and structural modeling, and collaboration with systems engineering, aerodynamics, and design teams.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced degrees preferred for Sr. Principal.
• Experience in structural dynamics, loads, and vibration analysis.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and a structural analysis toolset.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines in a integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop structural engineering specs for missiles/spacecraft.
• Perform dynamics, loads, stability, and fatigue analyses.
• Model using CATIA, IDEAS, Pro/Engineer and related software.
• Support design, test, and integration with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to mission-critical analyses.
