Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Structural Engineer for the Sentinel program, with on-site roles in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, Utah.

You will analyze structural systems, perform dynamics and vibroacoustic analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mission-ready designs. Ideal candidates hold a engineering degree and extensive experience, with a US citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field.
5+ years of relevant experience for Principal Engineer.
8+ years for Sr. Principal Engineer with Bachelors.
Active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation within 6 years.
US Citizenship with ability to obtain SAP.

Responsibilities

Analyze design/analysis of facilities and subsystems for Sentinel upgrade.
Perform structural, dynamics and vibroacoustics analyses of missiles/spacecraft.
Utilize MATLAB, Nastran, and other tools for simulations.
Collaborate with systems engineering, aerodynamics, and test teams.
Prepare reports and technical documentation.
