Job summary

Solipsys, a subsidiary of Collins Aerospace, is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to drive architecture and development of critical capabilities in an Agile setting. You will coordinate multiple engineers, lead decisive actions, and communicate effectively across the organization.

The role requires strong OO programming skills in Java or C++, full lifecycle software development, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Onsite at Fulton, MD location with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• 10+ years relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategy, design, architecture, and development of critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
• Coordinate activities of multiple engineers to ensure successful technical execution and delivery for the customer.
• Lead and motivate teams by making smaller, decisive corrections to avoid larger problems.
• Communicate effectively with all levels and present summaries to the intended audience.
• Work in a highly collaborative team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.
