Job summary

Collins Aerospace, Solipsys division in Fulton, MD, seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead design, architecture, and development of critical software in an active Agile environment.

The role reports to the Director of Software Engineering, supervises a team of engineers, and requires strong leadership, hands-on coding with Java/C++, and experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and web technologies. US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience with C++ and/or Java.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems.
• Degree in STEM or advanced related field with substantial relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, architecture, and development of critical capabilities in an Agile environment.
• Coordinate activities of multiple engineers to ensure technical execution and delivery.
• Communicate with stakeholders and prepare presentations for diverse audiences.
• Evaluate new technologies to boost productivity and support product development.
