Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Scrum Master to join our government-focused software teams in Colorado. The role emphasizes Agile leadership, effective facilitation, and a strong understanding of SDLC and EVMS.

Responsibilities include planning events, maintaining Jira/Confluence, coaching teams, and guiding risk and roadmapping efforts within SAFe environments. U.S. security clearance is required for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience OR Master's with 6 years OR PhD with 4 years
• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance at time of application
• At least 3 years of experience acting as a software Scrum Master
• Experience as software developer, software integrator, or software tester
• Extensive experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the entire software development life cycle
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles
• Familiarity with SAFe preferred
• U.S. Citizenship required for positions with government clearance

Support removal of impediments and foster high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement
Manage and maintain Jira boards
Lead routine team standup meetings
Plan, coordinate, and execute planning events

Requirements

• Previous experience as a software developer, software integrator, or software tester
• Extensive experience with the Atlassian tool set (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with the entire software development life cycle
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles
• STEM degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred
• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred
• Previous experience transitioning a team or organization into an Agile framework execution mindset preferred
• Previous experience managing multiple Scrum teams preferred
• Understanding of the basic building blocks of Radar Systems preferred
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering principles preferred
• Familiarity with Earned Value management preferred
• Experience with the use of Cameo preferred
• U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
