Job summary
RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer for the design, development, testing, and sustainment of advanced missile defense radar technologies in Fort Wayne, IN. This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
You will lead system engineering efforts, analyze performance, and collaborate with software teams to implement requirements. The position includes opportunities to advance in a dynamic, mission-focused environment with travel up to 20% and relocation assistance
Qualifications
- Degree in STEM; 10+ years RF/signal processing or radar experience.
- Experience with radar systems hardware, software and firmware integration.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Define radar system requirements and architecture with system engineering team.
- Analyze radar performance against requirements and propose improvements.
- Prototype algorithms to enhance system capability and effectiveness.
- Present designs and test results to stakeholders and leadership.
- Serve as SME to agile software teams for correct implementation.
