RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN, to support the design, development, testing, and sustainment of advanced radar technologies. The role spans requirements management, architecture, algorithm development, and collaboration with software teams in an on-site capacity.

The position requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Travel up to 20% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant experience with RF system design and signal processing.
• Experience with radar systems including hardware, software and firmware.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance and US citizenship.

Responsabilités

• Define radar system requirements and architecture, and collaborate with software teams for implementation.
• Analyze radar performance to identify gaps and propose improvements.
• Prototype and validate new algorithms to enhance system capability.
• Present designs and results to peers, leadership, and external customers.
• Serve as SME to agile software teams ensuring correct system requirements are implemented.
• Contribute to multiple capability areas including electronic protection, signal processing, and radar calibration.
• Support bid/proposal efforts with labor or material cost estimates.
