Cadence is seeking a Senior Principal Product Engineer to lead Voltus power integrity and EM signoff efforts on a fast-paced signoff platform. You will coordinate with R&D, foundries, and customers to translate complex IR/EM and PDN requirements into robust product flows.

The role requires deep CMOS/digital design expertise, scripting in Tcl/Python, and strong communication skills for executive audiences. California-based position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/VLSI Engineering with 10+ years of related experience or MS with 8+ years or PhD with 6+ years.
• Deep hands-on experience with industry-standard IR/EM (EMIR) and PDN analysis tools.
• Strong background in CMOS/digital design, power IR-drop analysis, circuit analysis, and multi-power-domain signoff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface to R&D for Voltus, driving product requirements and priorities.
• Lead Voltus enablement for advanced-node IR/EM signoff: flow/techfile/PDK readiness and production deployment.
• Own resolution of complex customer issues spanning IR/EM, timing/stack-die interactions, and signoff.
• Define and validate foundry-aligned power integrity and EM modeling assumptions with cross-team collaboration.
• Influence product roadmap based on foundry and customer gaps, including AI-driven IR mitigation and 3DIC co-analysis.
• Mentor Lead/Principal PEs and AEs; set debugging and deployment standards for the account/foundry program.
• Work with customers and Cadence teams to present findings and recommendations to leadership.
