Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an experienced Principal Project Management/Senior Principal Project Management to join our Program Management Office in Rapid City, SD. This individual contributor role requires strong EVMS, cost and schedule management, and collaboration across engineering, supply chain, and support teams.

The successful candidate will review project status, assist with resource planning, prepare for meetings, and maintain detailed documentation in a high-tempo

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in project management
• At least 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Support the program to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations
• Collaborate across functions to ensure all objectives are met
• Assist with monitoring cost & schedule performance, support business management meetings and reporting to program leadership
• Supports coordinating the efforts of SMT teams, including engineers, subcontracts administrators, supplier quality assurance representatives, logistics engineers, schedule planners, and cost/material planners
• Earned value (EV) management of labor and material control accounts
• Reporting earned value and supplier status to Program Managers, GSC managers, and IPT Management
• Prepare conference/meeting presentation material for both internal and external audiences
• Participate in contractual and technical meetings and engineering reviews, takes detailed notes
• Captures and manages Action Items to completion and/or close
• Implementation and use of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
