Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Project Manager to oversee the operational aspects of ongoing programs.

The role is onsite in California, located in El Segundo or Rancho Bernardo, and requires coordinating with project teams and line management. You will manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables, participate in risk and opportunity management, and support proposal strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with budgeting processes and monthly tracking and reporting procedures
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance or higher within a reasonable time

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between project management, planning, and line management
• Review project statuses and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports
• Develop and adhere to the budget baseline using Earn Value Management (EVM)
• Initiate, develop, and execute cost and schedule baselines meeting contractual requirements
• Support Risk, Issue, and Opportunity processes to address challenges
• Drive action item adjudication with operating unit, Enterprise, and Customer
• Lead the execution of Contractual Deliverable (CDRL) commitments and ensure timely delivery
• Drive proposal strategy by aligning with customer needs and setting benchmarks for excellence
