Job summary

RTX’s The Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control Engineer to lead embedded software and flight software development for 6-DoF simulations.

You will evaluate, design, implement, and integrate algorithms within an agile team, mentoring engineers and guiding test activities. Requires a STEM degree and 10+ years in GNC, signal processing, or modeling/simulation; security clearance eligibility; proficiency in MATLAB,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience is required.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented programming is required.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies and analyses.
• Work within an Agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide experience and guidance to help the program train new engineers.
