Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, and Control in Tucson, AZ onsite. You will evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for 6-DoF simulations and flight software within an integrated product team.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering/science/physics/maths and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• GNC, signal processing and/or modeling/simulation experience.
• Experience in missile system applications across at least two areas from the list.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or OOP.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded missile flight code.
• Perform system-level performance studies to inform capability development.
• Lead backlog creation and metrics in an agile setting.
• Mentor engineers and support efficient program execution.
• Support missile performance analyses including Monte Carlo and GPS/INS integration.
