Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah. You will design mechanical systems, develop CAD models, and work with customers and engineers to deliver high-performance solutions for launch facilities and related equipment.

The role requires a STEM degree, CAD experience, and eligibility for a Secret clearance; relocation assistance may be available, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university; 2+ years experience.
• Master’s degree with 1 year experience (Principal level: 5 years with bachelor’s; 3 with master’s).
• US Citizenship with active Secret clearance; SAP access within reasonable time.
• 2+ years CAD modeling experience; 2+ years mechanical engineering experience; background in mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mechanical designer for mechanisms on a major Defense Systems program.
• Design and develop mechanical/aerospace products for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, ground vehicles; develop CAD models.
• Create 3D models and drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter; verify designs via modeling, testing, and analysis.
• Support all lifecycle phases: design, drawings, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance.
• Prepare reports and interface with customers.
