Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. (ENERCON) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. The role spans leading and mentoring, with opportunities to advance into senior/principal levels while supporting projects from plants to field sites.

You will prepare engineering documents, collaborate across disciplines, and travel to client sites as needed to ensure high‑quality solutions in power generation and nuclear environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Senior Level: Minimum 6 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Principal: Minimum 10 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver High‑Quality Engineering Documents: Prepare accurate and error‑free drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses meeting industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Adhere to Standards: Develop engineering documents aligning with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements using established procedures and project directives.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep knowledge current with industry codes, safety culture, and nuclear design techniques.
• Commit to Excellence: Produce engineering deliverables meeting QA standards and project scopes.
• Build Lasting Client Relationships: Establish trust with clients through clear communication and professional interactions.
• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work with other teams to ensure integrated designs.
• Be Hands‑On in the Field: Travel to plant sites for on‑site assessments and inspections.
