Job summary

ENERCON is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer (Senior & Principal) to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will lead and mentor, delivering high-quality mechanical designs for power generation projects and nuclear facilities.

Roles are full-time across multiple U.S. locations, including Baton Rouge, LA, with travel up to 10%. Strong writing, presentation and teamwork skills are essential, and US citizenship is required for DOE-related work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Senior: minimum 6 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Principal: minimum 10 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering documents: prepare accurate drawings, sketches, calculations and analyses.
• Adhere to standards: align documents with client, ENERCON and regulatory requirements.
• Stay ahead of the curve: keep up with industry codes, safety culture and advanced nuclear design techniques.
