RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Test and Validation Engineer in Manufacturing Design to drive test strategy and manufacturing test solutions from development through production. You will influence program decisions, enhance producibility, and ensure tight alignment with quality and cost objectives across multiple programs.

The role requires a STEM degree, 10+ years of experience, and active U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership experience in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to help drive decisions on manufacturing test strategy.
• Experience with factory Test Equipment development and prove-in processes
• Ability to work on programs requiring special program access.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Serving as the manufacturing test authority across multiple programs.
• Leading the implementation and maturation of production manufacturing test solutions across the portfolio.
• Shaping enterprise-level test strategies and architecture, driving readiness, capacity, and maturity improvements.
• Managing large scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process.
• Recommending engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes.
• Ensuring quality control procedures evaluate products.
• Leading Continuous Process Improvements to enhance cycle time and reduce costs using Six Sigma/CORE.
• Applying test engineering skills to optimize the manufacturing test strategy across programs.
