Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – Responsible Systems Engineer to lead requirements, verification and task coordination across multi-disciplinary teams. The role requires leading verification activities, coordinating with the Chief Engineer, and ensuring subsystem specifications meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable Top Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date.
• Experience in test planning, verification of system requirements and/or system qualification.
• Experience with DoD programs and customer infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead effort to update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirements specifications.
• SE technical lead for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are assessed during testing.
• Collaborate with Systems and Hardware IPTLs and Chief Engineer on program technical tasks.
• Lead Systems Verification Reviews with leadership and IPTLs.
• Mentor new team members and guide them using core Systems Engineering skills.
• Interact with Chief Engineer and customer stakeholders to ensure design integrity.
