Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. seeks Senior/Principal Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineers to join our Nuclear Design Group. Roles span PLCs, HSI, sensors, data sheets, and procurement specs across multiple U.S.

locations including Kennesaw, GA. You will mentor others, upgrade nuclear plants, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and reliability. Qualifications include a bachelor's in engineering and 6+ years I&C design experience (10+ for principal).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 6+ years in I&C design; nuclear experience preferred (Principal level 10+).
• Experience with I&C systems design for BWR or PWR units, e.g., turbine/feedwater controls, radiation monitoring, HVAC/chiller controls, reactor protection, plant process computers, HSI.
• Experience in preparing, marking up, and reviewing design drawings, instrument data sheets, and software/cyber security documents.
• Experience developing system requirements/procurement specifications, design descriptions/control narratives, test plans/procedures, and traceability matrices.
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to contribute as an individual and work in teams.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Approx. travel ~10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, analyses meeting codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Set the standard: engineering documents that exceed requirements, compliant with processes.
• Stay on the cutting edge: maintain knowledge of codes and safety practices in the nuclear sector.
• Drive quality and precision: deliver engineering solutions aligned with QA programs.
• Cultivate strong client connections: build trust through clear communication and reliable results.
• Collaborate across disciplines: create integrated designs with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide field support: on-site verification and ensuring structures meet high engineering standards.
