Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Hardware Engineering Lead for its Strategic Communications and Precision Navigation team in Marlborough, MA. The role leads hardware design for secure communication and precision navigation systems, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept to deployment.

This senior position requires 10+ years in hardware engineering with leadership experience, proficiency in RF/microwave and electronics packaging, and DoD security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years in hardware engineering with leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading hardware development from concept to production.
• Strong RF/microwave, radar systems, electronics packaging, and mechanical design skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to present technical info clearly.
• EVMS principles experience on externally reported programs.
• Degree in STEM with 10+ years experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design for protected communication and precision navigation systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Oversee hardware development lifecycle from concept through production and deployment.
