Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Senior Principal Hardware Design Engineer to architect, design, and verify mixed-signal hardware for radar receiver, exciter, and transmitter subsystems in an on-site MA environment. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

You will lead design analysis, verification, and transition to production, mentoring engineers while delivering hardware that meets program requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 10 years of experience developing digital/mixed signal high speed Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
• Experience in Digital CCA Design; Parts selection, Schematic capture, Library management, and Parts Lists creation.
• Experience in PCB Design - Stackup/Plane/Routing rules definition & verification, Placement, Constraints setting, and DRC validation.
• Experience in Design Verification/Analysis - Timing, Power, and Signal Integrity Analysis, Bench Level testing, Troubleshooting, and Test Results analysis.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Mixed signal circuit and sub-system architecture, design, modeling, simulation, and verification.
• Perform Design Analysis (Timing, Power, Signal Integrity).
• Work with ECAD designers to generate full Databases and Drawings to build PWB/CCAs.
• Integration and design verification test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels.
• Mentor Junior Engineers.
• Transition to production and technical support to manufacturing and test engineers.
• Guide and coordinate teams of highly skilled engineers in complex, multidisciplinary technical environments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and program status through briefings and technical reviews.
