Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA seeks a Principal Digital CCA Designer to lead digital circuit card design for Airborne Radar products. You will work with systems, mechanical, and software teams under senior guidance, delivering hardware that meets stringent defense requirements.

The role requires 8+ years in digital CCA design, familiarity with Xilinx/Altera FPGAs, and SI/PI expertise. Security clearance is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 8+ years of applicable experience focusing on architecting, designing, implementing, and testing digital Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designs
• Experience with high-speed mixed signal circuit card design and/or high-density, high-speed digital circuit card design
• Experience in bus standards protocol such as: sRIO, SpaceWire, VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, and Gb Ethernet
• Experience designing hardware boards that house Xilinx and Altera FPGAs
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital circuit cards for Airborne Radar systems
• Perform SI/PI analyses and component obsolescence evaluations
• Select electrical parts and conduct vendor trade studies
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software teams
• Deliver technical presentations to stakeholders and government customers
• Define, refine, and validate hardware requirements for compliance
