Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks Senior or Principal Guidance Navigation & Control Engineers for Space & ESG in Seal Beach/El Segundo, CA. You design GN&C algorithms, build high-fidelity simulations, and test flight software for space missions.

Responsibilities include developing 6-DOF dynamics tools, applying astrodynamics, and leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• Active Tier 5 (T5) Clearance required.
• 14+ years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Engineering experience with spacecraft.
• Experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience developing GN&C algorithms, models and simulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft.
• Develop and maintain 6‑DOF dynamics simulations and analysis tools.
• Implement and validate GN&C flight software (MATLAB/Simulink models and C/C++ prototypes).
• Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design and trajectory optimization.
• Develop guidance laws and autonomy tools for on‑orbit operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate tradeoffs.
• Lead project teams and mentor engineers.
