Job summary

Space Kinetic Corp. is looking for a Principal Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer to lead the GNC life cycle for a first-of-its-kind spacecraft platform. You will drive algorithm development, simulation, and flight hardware integration, coordinating with subcontractors and cross-functional teams.

The role centers on defining interfaces, managing schedules, and delivering robust GNC solutions for an innovative, high-velocity space system. On-site in El Segundo, CA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years GNC experience.
• Experience with spacecraft development and operations.
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers (commercial or government).

Responsibilities

• Lead a high performing and cross functional GNC team.
• Architect and implement a novel GNC design for a unique spacecraft platform.
• Work with subcontractors to develop and integrate GNC software and hardware.
• Own GNC subsystem level requirements.
• Design of algorithms for FSW development.
• Create / Contribute to ground tools for constellation management.
• Owns GNC component level hardware trades and selection.
• Owns GNC level Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
• Conducts GNC design analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Supports hardware-in-the-loop verification in system testbeds.
• Support internal and external design reviews.
• Work with senior management for GNC schedule and key milestones.
