Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer to lead FPGA architecture and HDL development for multiple device families. You will drive requirements translation, design, verification, and documentation, collaborating with systems engineers and cross-functional teams on major programs.

Role requires active DoD security clearance eligibility and onsite work in Tucson, AZ with opportunities to mentor others and shape project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• System-level FPGA architecture development and impact analysis.
• Proposal experience including basis of estimate and schedule planning.
• Strong hand-off, design, verification, and documentation skills.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and toolflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based systems architecture and design from concept to production.
• Establish processes and operational plans for projects.
• Drive projects independently to on-time, on-budget completion.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Develop and verify complex configurable logic solutions.
• Document requirements, verification plans, and user guides.
