Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an Electrical Engineer II for the Effector Digital Products department to design and develop FPGA-based processing systems. You will work on FPGA architectures supporting gigabit interfaces, RF/EO DSP, and embedded processing using VHDL/Verilog across FPGA families from Xilinx, Intel/Altera, and Microchip.

Role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering (or related STEM) by start date, strong digital design experience, and familiarity with FPGA tool flows.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM by start date.
• Demonstrated experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding.
• Familiarity with Xilinx, Altera or Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families using VHDL/Verilog.
• Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to meet requirements and architect the device.
• Perform code development, simulation, place and route, and document the design process.
• Support design verification through testing and production handoff.
