Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Engineer - Solid Propulsion in Tucson, AZ, onsite. This role requires active DoD Secret clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship, with 8+ years in solid propulsion development.

You will lead propulsion system development projects, manage subcontractors, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver technology for missile and space programs while interfacing with customers and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience; or 10+ years without a degree.
• Experience in development of solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain an active U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced propulsion technologies to missile and space vehicle integration.
• Collaborate across programs and with subcontractors on design and manufacturing.
• Oversee propulsion system development and supplier operations.
• Deliver presentations to management and government agencies.
• Interface with customers to identify user needs.
• Travel internationally to support suppliers.
