Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer for Electrical Fuze & Initiation Systems. The role focuses on advanced fuzing device development, safety certification, and integration with missile and space vehicle systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams across development and production programs and mentor engineers. Applicants should have a STEM degree with at least 10 years of fuzing experience, be prepared for extensive travel, and hold or be eligible for DoD security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM disciplines and 10 years of relevant fuzing/one shots engineering experience.
• Experience with fuzing device design, manufacturing, testing, safety certification and/or compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to start date.
• US citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced technologies to the integration of fuzing devices, controllers, software and interfaces for missile and space vehicle systems.
• Lead development and production programs across Raytheon product lines.
• Review manufacturing processes and coordinate with subcontractors on design and manufacturing of fuzing devices.
• Develop technical presentations for management and government agencies.
• Travel extensively to government and subcontractor facilities.
