Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a senior Emergency Management Dispatch Telecommunicator to coordinate all-hazards incident communications and emergency response activities on onsite operations. This role supports 24/7 operations and works with internal teams and external agencies during emergencies.

You will triage 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls, provide pre-arrival instructions, dispatch resources, maintain logs, monitor alarms, and participate in drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus three (3) or more years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• New Mexico Emergency Management Medical Dispatcher license required.
• Experience in dispatch center environments or related emergency communications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD/software used by emergency response organizations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage emergency (9-1-1) and non-emergency calls; follow protocols.
• Provide pre-arrival EMS/EMD instructions and dispatch resources via multi-channel systems.
• Document and track service requests using CAD and other systems.
• Operate mass notification systems; monitor safety and compliance.
• Maintain logs for quality assurance and event analysis.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies during incidents in a 24/7 schedule.
