Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Emergency Management Duty Officer to join our 24/7 Emergency Management Operations Communications Center. You will serve as the primary point of contact for incident notification and coordination of emergency and non-emergency activities, ensuring adherence to federal laws, DOE orders, and related directives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in emergency management or related field and 5+ years of related experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public safety or related field.
• Five+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Incident Command System principles and emergency planning documentation.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and support emergency and non-emergency activities with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Interpret plans, procedures, checklists and other reference materials during emergencies and high-stress incidents.
• Make time-urgent categorization and classification decisions of operational emergencies.
• Prepare detailed situational reports for emergencies and significant events.
• Assist in developing and conducting drills and exercises and participate as a controller or evaluator.
