Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced Senior Emergency Management Duty Officer to lead 24/7 Emergency Management Operations. You will be the primary contact for incident notification and coordination of emergency and non-emergency activities, ensuring actions follow DOE directives and national policies.

The role requires handling time-constrained decisions, internal/external notifications, and activation of the Emergency Response Organization, contributing to life safety, property

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public safety or related field plus five or more years of related experience.
• Master's degree in emergency management or related field preferred with four or more years of related experience.
• Experience with incident command systems, emergency planning, and notification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support emergency and non-emergency activities with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Receive, document, and assess emergency and non-emergency high-stress calls; coordinate responses.
• Make time-urgent categorization and classification decisions of operational emergencies.
