Zusammenfassung

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced Emergency Response Team member to develop, implement, and staff the Laboratory's internal emergency response capabilities. You may be called to respond to a wide range of incidents, from medical emergencies to hazardous materials events.

Onsite work is required. The role involves coordinating with multiple agencies, operating rescue equipment, and maintaining readiness through drills and training.

Qualifikationen

• ,
• High school diploma plus four years of active emergency response experience.
• Certification as Hazardous Materials Operations (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120) or equivalent.
• Completion of FEMA IC S-100, 200, 700 with demonstrated proficiency.
• Experience delivering EMS and operating under OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and NFPA 470 standards.
• Meet physical fitness and respirator fit-testing requirements per NFPA 1580.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q-level security clearance.

Aufgaben

• Respond to 911 emergency and non-emergency calls within an incident command system.
• Operate emergency vehicles and equipment to protect life, property, environment, and mission capabilities.
• Implement emergency plans per local procedures, Federal laws, DOE orders, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with local, state, federal agencies, DOE/NNSA, and Sandia personnel during incidents.
• Provide specialized technical rescue support at Tonopah Test Range with Air Force and other agencies.
• Support incident command with expertise on Sandia emergency processes, hazards, and operations.
• Respond to hazardous substance releases as a HazMat Technician; containment and mitigation.
