Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Sr Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead development of mission-critical software in C/C++. You'll contribute to modern engineering practices, model-based engineering, DevSecOps and Agile methods across the lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering, 8+ years of related experience, US citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret clearance; primary salary range $135,800 - $203,600 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related STEM field.
• US Citizenship required.
• Must obtain Secret Clearance and SAP.
• Minimum 6 years in C/C++.
• Minimum 6 years in real-time embedded software.
• 6 years in full software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and modify existing software, applying modern development techniques.
• Identify risks, mitigate, track defects, and report status.
• Design, construct, and execute unit tests and verification plans.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to test software on simulators and hardware.
• Identify and assess new technologies prior to implementation.
• Engage with systems engineering in reviews to ensure requirements are met.
