Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate embedded software for mission-critical systems.

You’ll collaborate with a diverse team and apply modern engineering practices across the full SDLC. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software engineering, strong C++ and Linux/VxWorks experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 4 additional years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and integrate embedded software for mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices.
• Ensure software quality and adherence to standards across the SDLC.
